I was curious to really find out which of the two grocery stores have better customer-friendly prices, considering that I have been hearing from people that Rustan's Fresh's prices are too high. I had this thought that, I will have to see for myself since, sometimes we have our perceptions unchecked.
In order to validate this information, I made a comparison to my most recent purchases with both stores on the same items (the same brand and size) :

Based on the total of the above groceries that I bought, It shows that Rustans's Fresh is cheaper by 51.25 as compared with Robinson's Grocery Store. That is only based on the items that I purchased, not for all the products available to both stores, since there are items that the other is cheaper and the other is higher and vice versa.
We also have to take note of the date of purchase since competition can trigger price changes.
It goes to show, that our perception has to be validated before we make a conclusion and more so before we tell other people.
Whichever store we want to buy our groceries we need to consider our comfort and convenience, the cleanliness and freshness of the products, the good service of the store employees and the accessibility and availability of other products and services we need to avail of. This way, we will spend lesser time, effort and even money. Hence, transferring from one place to the other will incur more time and gasoline.
